Dream come true

Elfriede and I spent 3 hours skiing together yesterday. It was such a thrill as I never got the chance to ski with her when I worked for her. Back then she never ever took a day off. But these days she has one day off per week and she kindly spent it with me.

We left Steve playing about on the beginner field and she took me on a tour of her favourite ski runs over at Westendorf. Part way through we stopped at the oldest gasthof on the mountain where she bought us cheese (!) soup. It was like a beef broth with stringy cheese noodles and croutons. OMG yum.

Here we are at the very top of the field with the famous Kitzbuhler horn off in the distance to our right.

The BEST day of skiing ever!

I did discover one disadvantage however... the whole experience was so awesome I couldn't stop smiling and the cold air froze my teeth! (Skiing lesson #45 - remember to ski with a closed mouth smile...)
