The 2500 year old cave of wine

In Montepulciano we found nirvana - the Etruscan cave they use as a winery.

Steve had a meaningful moment with a huge oak barrel then we marvelled at the ancient grotto, peered at the hidden well, and ambled through the cool caverns where they store the wine before bottling.

After tasting 5 or 6 wines (they made us do it!) we bought a few bottles for future amusement.
