The queue to get in wasn't that bad suprisingly. We loved wandering around the Colosseum. The audio-tour explained how it was built and why the design is so efficient for seating thousands of people in mere minutes. Those ancient engineers really knew their stuff.
It wasn't as much fun being barged into by the annoying omnipresent school groups. So we amused ourselves by imagining what it would have been like to feed them to the lions in front of 20,000 cheering spectators.
