In the footsteps of virgins

We ambled around the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill yesterday. The ruins in some places were more intact than I expected. It was great to be walking in the steps of people I’ve read so much about.

My favourite spot was the remains of Emperor Augustine’s palace. Steve particularly enjoyed the temple of the Vestal Virgins. He did a few coo-ees but they didn’t answer his call.
